Doing it right since 1939

Lonely Lane Farms represents three generations of family-owned, sustainable farming practices focused not on profits but on quality, community, and longevity.

Thank you for supporting a Willamette Valley farm and helping us build a stronger local food supply!

What makes Lonely Lane Farms different? It’s simple: We do the right thing for our animals, our family’s land, and our customers.

The Lonely Lane Farms Difference

Allergen-free meats

All of our grass-fed meats are free of the “Big 8” allergens: eggs, fish, milk, peanuts, shellfish, soy, tree nuts, and wheat.

Our co-owner Mike is himself allergic to gluten, dairy, and peanuts — so we know a thing or two about allergies, including anaphylactic allergies, and how unfortunately common cross-contamination can be. That’s why we process in-house without the presence of allergens.

Our hand-cut meats are allergen-free, but so are our specialty products like sausages, jerky, and more.

Truly In-house Processing

In-house processing isn’t just for allergen-friendliness. It’s also to guarantee complete control over every step of the process. We grow our own feed, raise our own animals, and process our meats in our own USDA-inspected facility.

Only by keeping things in-house can we put our confident stamp of approval on every product with the Lonely Lane label.

Naturally Grass-Fed and Finished

When it comes to feed, our animals are eating the entire plant.

When you hear “grain-fed,” the animals are eating hard grains that are harvested off the plant. Lonely Lane is a grass-fed farm, and our cows eat what they would normally be eating on a forage-based diet (oats, alfalfa, grass hay, corn silage) in the same proportions as they would eat if they were foraging in the wild.

It’s not “grass-fed” for marketing purposes; it’s grass-fed like nature intended.

Regenerative, Sustainable Farming

“Regenerative farming” has become a buzzword…but for us, it’s the same as it’s always been: the very foundation of what we do.

We don’t truck in huge quantities of feed or fertilizers. We grow all our own feed, and everything is non-GMO. We use very, very little fertilizer and our loafing shed provides all the compost. We use perennial crops; we’ve added more rotational grazing; we have the livestock on the same grounds where their feed is coming from; we put the manure from stored areas back into the fields; we use native grasses to build the soil…

And we plan to keep doing more.

Woman-Led & Community-Focused

We’re co-owned by Mike and Patty Kloft, with all of the business operations run by Patty. We’re proud to have a woman in charge, a rarity even in modern agriculture, and even more proud to be doing business in a way that treats employees with respect and gives back to our local community.

We offer competitive benefits packages and health and dental to our staff, because we know the importance of it. We have a great crew of people from the local area that work well together and with us.

For us, the “family” business extends beyond the Kloft name.
